A gas explosion has killed three persons at the Okpokiri filling station, Orji town in Owerri North council of  Imo state . According to witnesses, the incident damaged part of the filling station on Monday. It also destroyed part of a bank and primary schoolbuilding close to it. Further report showed that the explosion occurred around 5:45 pm with many thinking it was a bomb that had been detonated. "Initially i did not know that it gas refilling tank at the filing station that had exploded we thought that it was a bomb because of the loud noise which even shattered glass windows around the area,” a witness simply known as Emenike told Daily Sun. “Explosion killed three of the workers at the filling station as their bodies were scattered every where around the filling station.”

A fresh graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Yaba College of Technology YABATECH, Oluwamuyiwa Oluwagbemileke Sir-Muel, has committed suicide as a result of frustration, according to media reports. He committed suicide  on Thursday, November 9th. The deceased who recently graduated from the  department, committed suicide by drinking a poisonous substance.  On Wednesday, he shared a post on his Facebook page encouraging everyone to be strong in the face of adversity. His friends say he had complained to them how tough his life had been. Sadly, he couldn’t hold it together anymore and decided to take his own life. He is the 2nd son and the 3rd born of his family. The police said that Reema Bibi, wife of Farhan Bashir and a resident of Mohallah Rasheed Park, consumed poisonous pills after serving it to her two minor daughters over a domestic dispute. As a result, all the three died on the spot. The police shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Jaranwala for legal formalities and started investigation. Meanwhile, Lyallpur Town police claimed to have arrested two bandits. Police official Amir Waheed said that CIA police on a tip-off, conducted raid at Thandi Khohi and arrested Raj Masih and his accomplice Mukhtar Masih.
